Haha, when I looked at the sheerline of this boat, what with it being a very long boat, and the glimpse of bottom paint in the bow, and the lifted stern, my first thought on seeing the pic was "OMG, that big fancy boat is hogged!" :D:D:D

I FINALLY got to watch this video since VIMEO (and just about every embedded video) is blocked at my office... Anyway, loved watching this, I can't get enough of these well produced build/launch/sail videos of fantastic vessels.
I am huge fan of modern design, engineering, composite materials, etc; but I HATE the modern interiors of these boats... Nothing ruins an amazing yacht like an all white, cold, clinical interior... On factory boats I cringe when I see IKEA interiors. I wish more people could blend traditional interiors with modern designs... I like em warm and dark, like a nice Cigar & Brandy room, the walls lined with books and a rolling ladder... Nautical Tradition in the form of fine joinery and glossy varnished mahogany.

Cloud,

It's different for sure. The lack of wood and the 'clinical' nature have one huge positive effect... Weight savings. All that wood and 'stuff' add 100s of pounds to a smaller boat, and 1000s to a big one. That saving makes the boat faster, and the loading on the rig lighter.

The style is overall is best described as modern, European, or Scandinavian. All which favor a mimmimalist ethic that is not big on ornamentation but focuses on function. Calling it IKIA in someway connitates a cheapness that I can assure you is not there! ;^)

The good thing is, CNB is custom builder. You can have your interior ANY way you want.

And when they are building ours side-by-side, we can visit each other's builds and compare notes! ;-)
