Take a look
At this link<<I realize I've said this name too much already but if anyone doubted what this Vertglas can do ... take a look at these pictures. I made them a little larger than normal for better resolution. In the top left picture, I was standing five feet away and while you can't read the label on my can of Mountain Dew, you can tell that I'm wearing a dreadful pink tie-die t-shirt. That's not shabby! (the shine - not the t-shirt). I wish I had taken a before picture but believe me that 30 minutes prior it was as reflective as a piece of blackboard chalk. I did hit the larger areas with the Vertglas supplied rubbing compound with an electric buffer and it made a large difference. If you gel coat is very chalky, I suggest going over the large surfaces lightly with the buffer before application. You don't have to make it shiny - just knock down the surface a little more. All this and the product actually says to NOT wax it throughout the year...I like that.>>(I didn't use it, just found the link)
