I'm looking to give the TsatzSue a Christmas present. A new motor mount.
I have the stock mount. It still works but I have had to replace the stainless pins. One snapped. The spring has never done the job. I actually made a set up out of a line run through the middle of a 1.25" dowel(T - Handle) to yank the motor up. With that set up and the line attached to the locking lever you need to be a marionette puppeteer to raise and lower the motor. That is getting old since raising and lowering the motor does not always coincide with flat calm water. That and there is no way my wife could accomplish the task. I have visioned myself falling overboard doing this.
To the point...Do any 25 owners out there have a recommendation for a good mount? I run a 2 stroke, 9.9 Johnson long shaft which I believe to be about 100lbs. There are so many choices I felt reaching out to you guys would be best.
Already have snow up here. So windy this weekend a 60mph gust actually spun the boat around 45 degrees. I have to jack her up and pull the wheels this weekend. Scary!!
I appreciate the help!!
