I am looking for a company that deals in used boat parts. Specifically, a rudder and post for my '79 Catalina 27. The post was bent getting it towed off a sandbar outside of Atlantic City on my way to South Florida. I have contacts to get a new or manufactured post and rudder, however, I am a poor rookie sailor trying to finish a trip as inexpensively as possible. Try Sailorman in Ft. Lauderdale
Bill, Just off US1 in Ft. Lauderdale is "Sailorman". They have a huge inventory of salvaged and new parts for everyboat. Give them a call or stop in. If they cannot get the part they will direct you to someone who can. Your rudder and post is out there, keep searching. Try all the boatyards in the area as well. Good luck Bob
