I recently had to replace the Motorola Alternator. I did not have time to have it rebuilt (I was headed for the starting line for the Harvest Moon Regatta). The alterntor shop had a Delco model 10SI that fit the old mounting but had to modify the adjusting bracket by welding on an extension and go to a longer belt. The 10SI has only a one wire connection with an internal regulator. I am a believer in external regulators but I can not find anyone who knows if this alternator can be modified to use an external regulator.
