updating head

I'm trying to install a new head and holding tank on my 1977 Catalina '30 and am tring to figure out how to maximize the tank size under the port settee. I would also like to know if it's possible to place the holding tank forward under the V-berth. I'm not suo sure that's a good idea, but I'm willing to listen to anyone in support of this placement.

V-berth is best place for a holding tank...usually

If it means a hose run of more than 6-8' from the toilet, it's not such a good idea. Read the articles in the Head Mistress forum Reference Library (on the forum home page)...they'll answer a lot of your questions about how to do it.
