I want to get my boat home to work on it. I am lucky in that I have lots of room and a fully equipped workshop (I build hot rods and custom cars). I would love to paint my old Cat 27 ('81) and bring it up to, not exactly custom car standards but nice anyway. I will of course need to unstep the mast to trailer it. Is this a big deal? Anyone done it? Also I wonder if anyone in the San Diego area can recommend a firm to trailer the boat. I know I could do all this in a boat yard but there is nothing like using your own tools and taking your time. Maybe an old boat like this isn't worth it but I do like the old thing, it suits me.
