Have you had a look at the packing gland? It shouldn't be leaking when the prop shaft isn't turning. If the boat has been tied to dock for a long time and hasn't be sailed or motored water may not have made it's way into the bilge. Just taking it out for a sea-trial could either start the packing gland leaking or letting trapped water move into the bilge.
Oh and by the way welcome to the most knowledgeable sailing group on the net.

Ditto. Plus look at the rudder packing gland and maybe around the strut and keel bolts.

All of these leaks would end up with water in the bilge, and should not cause a list. I think a combination of full or empty fuel, water, & waste tanks is a more likely cause for a list.

Or the remote possibility that the keel is touching the bottom. You can eliminate that possibility by pulling on a few lines and verifying that the boat moves across the slip. The times I've been there there is plenty of water, and the BoatUS tow guy could comment on that.

But he said he already removed 15 gallons of water. I don't know anything about the Hunter 34. It sounds like if it list to one side the water doesn't flow through the weep holes to get to the pump?

check to see the the wind is not making this happen....mine will list to one side or the other depending on the wind and what direction it is coming from

Pateco could be on to something.
If your port water tank is empty and your fuel and sewage tanks full this might account for more of a list.

Did you determine the amount of list, with your juice glass or whatever? Diagnosing this is going to be a little easier if we know whether we are talking about 3 degrees vs. 10.

Welcome to the gang, guys.. we have quite a few H-34 owners on the site and a lot of great info in the Boat Info sections of the site.
All standard H-34's list to starboard .. it is worse when the holding tank is full and the port water tank is empty. It is worse if the PO has installed bigger or more batteries on starboard side aft as original.. Some owners have moved the batteries to the port settee just forward of the 35 gallon water tank to help. The list can be worse if the PO installed a propane stove/oven in place of the lightweight original alcohol unit
Air conditioning sometimes is installed in the starboard aft settee , making the list worse.

Check all around the cabin where the liner stops just above the sliding door shelves.. it is not unususl for water to come in from around the ports and come down out of the upper liner and into the bilge.. Walking around in the boat will allow some trapped water to make its way into the bilge ..

Check out the Owner Mods on the site here for some great pictures and information.
