On our H356, the captains bench/swim platform was open and collected water. Admiral states, I'm tired of it collecting water. DO SOMETHING....

OK. Took the old slated starboard out. Cleaned the interior, then painted it with one part epoxy paint. Using the old piece as the template, made a new solid platform. Starboard 1/2", got out the router, sanders and damn it fits... All I have to do is seal the edge and put it back in the boat.

4 more months until splash...

Looks better than original Jim, but are there drain holes or do you have to be concerned with water collecting in that well area ?

Actually, I had already had placed hole in to it drain the thing but found they filled with stuff and had to be cleaned out. Hopefully with this mod I won't have this problem.

Will seal the edges with 3M4200 to seal. Hope this works... Already have a bunch of stuff to do....

Boat is a hole you dump lots of money into....etc etc etc etc...

Gotcha, I was thinking of dressing the edge of the Starboard. Only thing I've found for that is a nice sharp router bit with a pilot bearing.

Good job Jimbo. Now that you made momma happy. I can remember the early days when you were wet behind the ears on repairs. Had to teach you a few tricks.

Good talking with you this morning and look forward to drive vs. boating to our new home next year when complete unless you can figure sailing that 356 above Richmond on the James River
