hello dan, the standerd fix is, in the cockpit side of the transom, you will cut about a three inch diameter hole through the skin under each leg, then reach up into the void with a (I think)1/2 inch socket and tighten the bolt on each leg. I had to remove the traveler , run a tap into each leg to clean the threads. And I still had to shim the bolts with modified washers, but it is tight. Also check the archives, this has been covered several times before. good luck john

Hey Dan, There are two bolts or nuts accessed from the bottom. You will need an extension with a 9/16 socket. I can send you a picture of what you are up against if you like. I have a transom that is removed from a wrecked boat that I kept. Its a tight fit at any rate. Gene in Kentucky ensagene@aol.com

48 inch traveler track. Home made.

Hello Dan: I know this is more info than you wanted but I thought that other C22 owners might be interested. I posted more details of this project in a previous reply now in the archieves titled "Backstay & Traveler Modification" but at that time I didn't have any pictures. This home made traveler track is 48" long & provides real good control. In the picture, you can see the backstay bracket which is bolted to the traveler track support frame. More pictures or drawings are available. Regards, Bob B.
