Some time back I saw that someone had listed a website for replacement parts for older traveler tracks and cars. I have a friend with a 1977 Cal 2-27 that is in desparate need of a new traveler car to fit his old track. The track he has is original and no longer supported by most chandlerys. And he is definately not interested in the work or expense of completely replacing the existing system. Does anyone know of the website I am trying to remember? Thanks. T Parts

Rick Really is hard to read your mind!!! Now if you asked us about a strange smell, maybe we could help you... One of the best sources of equipment for older boats is Garhauer (.com, of course). While they provide OEM equipment for Catalinas, their prices are so down to earth reasonable, that it may be worthwhile to check them out and obtain a complete replacement system for probably less than the cost of a couple of blocks from "the Big Three" (Harken, Shaefer, Ronstan). Good luck. PS - if you remember seeing this subject, have you tried the search engine yet?

C-22 Traveler parts

Hello Everyone: I am also interested in the traveler parts issue. I have a 1987 22 in which the plastic wheels on the traveler car have disintegrated. The entire stainless steel car assembly is in perfect shape. Catalina direct says that I can buy a complete replacement car for under $40.00, but it just seems silly to throw away a perfectly good stainless steel assembly, because some plastic fell off. Has anyone else out there encountered this problem ? I'm thinking that if I can't find a way to buy replacement plastic wheels, I will try to mould some out of polyurethane. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !
