transmission heat exchanger question

Mounting new exchanger on new zf12m gear
Anyone know of a substance to apply between them that will enhace heat conductivity and prevent corrosion??

Not knowing what it looks like, my first thought is heatsink compound. You know, the white stuff used in computer equipment.

I would worry less about the thermal conductivity and more about corrosion; thus, though expensive, I would use Tef-Gel. It has lots of other uses on boats, too.
