Hi guys! I have a 1997 C- 270 and a Trailrite trailer. Ever since I have owned this boat I have been able to float the boat off of the trailer, but not on. In Marquette, Mi......we have "crane day" which the crane guys schedule a day to pick the boats out of the water......not usually in not very nice weather. October in the sunny U.P. can be very harsh! My trailer is not equipped with a tongue extension, but I have considered adding one to it. Nor does my boat have a bow eye. The 270 has a wing keel. I feel that this boat should be able to be pulled out using the trailer. Are any of you guys with my setup able to float the boat onto the trailer? How do you keep the boat from sliding off while pulling the trailer out of the water?? Thanks!!
