I have a 1984 Hunter 34. A previous owner had caulked along the toe rail and deck joint. There is no way for water to drain overboard and I end up getting lots of water , dirt, and even weeds growning in this area. After removing some of the caulking it seems that there is a 1/4" gap between the deck and toe rail in some places. Is this seam meant to be caulked or is there supposed to be drainage between the deck and toe rail?
