Leave it to you and Jake to open my eyes to the possibilities that are out there when caution and practicality are dismissed. I just read a review on the Seascape 27, wow!Jeanneau Sunfast 3200 & 3600

You'll have to ask them, I just found the pic on the internet.Did the crew not notice the mainsail isn't all the way up? We're never that scalloped even on a light air day.
I have far less time on my O'day then you and probably most everyone else, but my feedback is I like the connected feel, it reminds me a simple practical approach. I don't think there is anything wrong with a wheel and it is probably a better choice for many reason, but if I'm looking right now, I think sticking with a tiller would be a nice positive while the wheel would not be a negative, just not a positive to me.John,
After a Catalina 30 caught my eye with it's 8' long cockpit, I have been reading up on them. Looks like the earliest years had tillers and some up to 1986 as wheels became an option.
While I'm weighing the pros and cons of moving up to a larger boat, I'm undecided on whether I would rather have tiller or wheel steering. On our 25 I'm finding myself getting more and more annoyed with the tiller and the room it needs to swing but I do enjoy the direct feel of the tiller.
Based on mainsheet position and the diagonal wrinkles coming from the clew, I guess the scallops are caused by hard mainsheeting, and perhaps a too-soft initial host. Cunningham would pretty that up.Did the crew not notice the mainsail isn't all the way up? We're never that scalloped even on a light air day.
yea, and they cruise pretty well too. A few years ago I 'raced' my friend Doug to Isle Royale in the middle of Lake Superior, where after we both cruised the National Park for a week. Here is Express 37 'Zippy' in pure cruise mode.Sweet looking boat Jackdaw...
I thought it was just me.Then it took me forever to learn that a sailboat with a wheel steers just like a motorboat. I felt silly turning the wrong way.
A Tartan 10 is a coffin with a mast. ;^)A T10 or a Mega 30 both are tiller steered boats. Not sure if the T10 has a tall cabin or not. Both boats are considered fast and cheap.
With the price of coffins nowadays that really might not be a bad idea.A Tartan 10 is a coffin with a mast. ;^)
Then you'll have to consider the 5 or 6 burial plots.I've been considering my mortality lately. With the price of coffins nowadays that really might not be a bad idea.
Or maybe even a Viking funeral. Then you'll have to consider the 5 or 6 burial plots.
