C27 IS THE DINNETTE MODEL WITH THE SINK AND KOOLER ON THE REAR PORT SIDE. TRYING TO REPLACE THE OLD GATE VALVES WITH SEACOCKS. BUT THE THUR THE HULL FOR SINK AND KOOLER IS UNDER THE BOAT NOT A SIDE ABOVE THE WATER THUR HULL. IF I REPLACE THE EXISTING GATE VALVE (IN WATER) HOW WILL THE WATER FROM SINK AND KOOLER DRAIN? NOT ENOUGH PRESSURE INSIDE TO DRAIN, DONT NO WHY THIS THUR HULL IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BOAT.ANY IDEAS OR DIRECTION OF WHAT TO DO. THANKS GREG

Greg....This is a standard C27 retrofit.

You must replace the thru-hull while the boat is OUT OF THE WATER. The old gate valves were attached to a pipe that was glassed into the hull..... NOT GOOD! You will probaly have to cut a larger hole to accommodate the thru hull. Check the archives for detailed instructions on actual replacement. You need to replace the thru-hull and seacock. Use bronze or marelon fittings only, nothing else! Check west marine catalogue for fittings and advice. A quick google search came up with this old Pearson Triton 381 restoration that shows the basics of seacock repacement with pictures to give you an idea of what you need to do. Regarding the Cat 27, you may simply tee the icebox drain into the sink drain, but I would separate it with another valve. Warning, the bottom of the ice box and sometimes the sink will be below waterline when boat is heeled to port, so keep them closed when not in use. You don't need any pressure to operate the drain, gravity is enough. Oh, and Greg, in case you weren't aware of it, typing with all CAPS is considered shouting on the internet.
