Thru-Deck Electrical connectors

I am in the process of preparing my boat to have the mast pulled next week. A friend assisted me with pulling the electrical wiring, but in the process we found that the 12v thru deck electrical pass throughs could stand to be replaced. What I want to replace are the (bronze?) female threaded caps that screw onto the threaded male deck mounted receptacles (which are fine). The female caps have holes in the tops with rubber washer type things that allow all the 12v wiring to pass from the mast, through the deck and on to the batteries. (There are 4 of them in all). I've tried to Google everthing I can think of from "marine thru-hull electric connectors" to dozens of various other queries with no results. Does anyone know the correct terminology to use or better yet, point me to a web site that may carry such objects. These connections have been the source of leaks in the past and I'd like to repair the problem rather than just put gobs of silicone all over them. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Marcia; Nearly all of the big marine supply stores have the connectors you speak of. West Marine, Boat U.S., Defender, etc. all have on-line catalogues. Just google them and go to the web site. I have to believe that this forum's home page will lead you to the fittings you need. Living as you do in Virgina Beach I have to believe that there are chandleries with employees who will be able to direct you to the product you need. If all else fails ask some of the fellow boaters in your marina or boat yard for advice. What you need should be available as common electrical hardware. Good luck in your search.

Can you give us a photo?

Can you post a picture of the connector? Then we may be able to tell you the brand and the search is much easier.

Electrical thru-deck Connectors

I'll try and get a photo this weekend when we move the boat over to the yard. I thought this would be an easy question...but as I've learned in my one year of boat ownership, almost NO issue I've had is easy to resolve. I've searched the entire electrical section of the new WM catalog (twice) as well as dozens of websites with no luck.
