Through Hull Adhesive?

I'm about to replace a few through hulls & want to know whether to use the (3M) 5200 or 4200 adhesive? I know the 5200 is for more permanent fixtures & is hard to remove but am not shure what category the through-hulls fit into. Since I am replacing them they can't be all that permanent, but I consider anything keeping my boat afloat needing to be absolutely secure! P.S. any hints on removing the old ones is appreciated too!

Don't use 5200!

You'll NEVER get 'em out again if the need ever arose! And that would definitely be something you (or a future owner) might want to change in the future. Use 4200 - it's almost as strong and infinitely easier to remove. Have fun! LaDonna

4200 adhesive

I just decommissioned a 380 Catalina and the dealer had used 5200 on some wires. He oviously never had to remove that junk. Don't get me wrong, its great stuff if you want to build a high rise building! All kidding aside, you do want to use 4200------5200 is too strong. good luck Gary
