I was fortunate enough to be able to retire from actually earning a living when I sold my company to Raritan in 1999. But now, as I approach my 70th birthday, I've decided that it's time to retire my keyboard and mouse from daily "active duty" too! I've been online since before there was an internet as we know it (before that there was CompuServe and Prodigy). 20 years is long enough to spend 2-4 hours a day answering the same questions over and over and over on sometimes as many as a dozen forums and email lists at a time. So I'm not just leaving here, I'm in the process of fading from the net altogether. But not without a lump in my throat...Phil and Bly and rest of the sbo.com "family" have contributed more to my success, both before and after I sold my company, than anyone else...I can never thank them enough! Phil, all ya gotta do is whistle any time you'd like for me come back for a "guest" spot!
So I won't unsubscribe, you'll still be able to find me and and I will answer emails--but not PMs!-- in the unlikely event you should ever have a question that I haven't already answered somewhere among the 16,000 posts to this forum.
Wishing all of you fair--and odorless--winds!
