I have a 1988 30' Catalina, that I recently purchased. The teak handrails and eyebrow have been removed and the holes filled. Catalina no longer carries the eyebrow and I have made numerous attempts to get in touch with the Tech line for the diminisions but no luck. It looks like a 1" x 3/8 but need the lenght.

What Catalina called them

I was referring to the strip of teak that runs below the handrails above the portals

Hmmm ...

I've never seen that detail on a Catalina 30. Handrails on the cabin top are/were standard, the eyebrow trim is something new to me.

That's it

That the trim Catalina Yachts said was the eyebrow. It runs under the handrails.

Trim Dimensions

I don't know if you can find another C30 in your area to take dimensions from. I think this trim was only used for a few years. You can sort of gauge the length from the preceding photos. If it was up to me, I'm not sure I would bother replacing them. But if you like the extra detailed look, and you don't mind easier type projects, it shouldn't be too hard.

Teak eyebrows

I do not know the exact eyebrow length but they are a few inches or so longer than the the greatest screw dimensions from bow to stern. Install the two furthest end screws (bow to stern)and measure the length, add two incehs to each end and you will be very close. The profile of the eyebrow is somewhat wedge shaped 1/4"thick at the top and 1/2"thick at the bottom by 1" wide. Tough to describe but the eyebrow outer edges are radiused, not sharp edges and the back is flat to attach to the cabin sides. I refinished mine last winter on my '89 30'. I like the look although it is one more teak maintenance item.
