My forestay is shredding on my 1978 tall rig with a tabernacle mast. How can I safely lower it (my first time)What steps are involved I have a spinnaker halyard, jib halyard and topping lift in addition to the main halyard. all lead back to cockpit except main. four winches in cockpit. also adjustable backstay. any help would be greatly appreciated boat is in willmington CA my email is garypaquin@msn.com
