Individual fused switches with different amperage ratings, set in two "banks" of 4 - each has a power lead that feeds the 4 switches. There's a 5-5-10-15 amp configuration for each set of 4. Illuminated lighted switches when on, and easy enough to do. Might not be the most elaborate out there, but was cheap enough, and has held up just fine.
I happened to be digging thru electrical stuff on the boat this afternoon. The toggle switches I used for the nav lights are SPDT, not DPDT. Sorry for the confusion.

... I could run the LED indicator lights off of one side. SPDT (center off) would also work. Would just have to double up the wires to the load and LED on one side of the switch,
