Submitting Coast Guard Documentation Applications

I found out today that you can email (or fax) applications to the coast guard.

Documents may be mailed or faxed to the NVDC using the information on page
one (1) or sent via e-mail to: NVDC.PDF.FILING@uscg.mil

There's a form for that you fax / email along with the application. The attached instructions mentions the document #.

I e-mailed my application when we transferred our registration this past winter. It worked great. They ran the credit card about 3 days after I e-mailed them. It did not, however, speed up the actual process in any way (I believe they were about 90 days out when my application was submitted).
