stupid question

i have a c27 tall ri have 2 screwdriver size/type gadgets on 2 sides of my traveler in their own holder. seems like they have to do with the traveler. Any idea what they are?

There are a myriad of travelers out there. And a picture is worth a thousand words.................

They are to adjust the traveler.

Sailing on a port tack downwind you would move the sliding bolts to starboard, and go faster. You can also use them to point better upwind by bringing the mainsail up past the center of the boat.

If I understand you this should help.

Unfortunately you have the manual labor-intensive traveler setup. I never liked this type as you have to constantly adjust by hand even when under load.

I have the cam cleats on both ends which makes adjustment easy. I still don't have a clear picture of the fittings you refer to. Hopfully someone will read this and give you better info.

Or look at some boating catalogs to see if you can doa quick changeout to add the cam cleats using your original track etc. That would make sail adjustment quick n easy
