sawdust
I'm guessing you find a bit more sawdust every time you bash to weather.Of all the things Hunter does well, getting the workers to clean up after themselves is not one. Behind the bulkheads and cabinets a great amount of sawdust never gets vacuumed, probably because they figure we'll never see it. But then it shakes through the cracks when we sail, ultimately ending up in the bilge, potentially clogging the pumps of newer boats.I owned my previous Hunter eight years, sailed it more than 10,000 nautical miles, and was still finding sawdust when I moved my gear into the new boat. The good news here is that it's probably not termites, and you can continue to love your boat.
