Sticky throttle Ritchie Pedistal

Am feeling a stickyness / roughness in the throttle cable. I have removed the compass and tried to reposition the cable (a real pain on the ...) yet it still feels like it is rubbing inside the cable sheith. Thought a little dry graphite might eliminate the problem but wonder if it will cake up with the himidity?

Other than replacing the whole cable, any sugestions?

Replace the whole cable. I did this job last year and was very happy with the results. These cables eventually breakdown.
