Contact Hunter.
Joe:Roger sometimes gets carried away. I have not done this repair. He has probably confused my fuel shut off cable with the throttle. You need to contact Greg Emerson at Hunter and get the cable length. There are a few different mfg that make quality cables. I think Morse and Teleflex are some of the ones that come to mind. You want to be sure that you get one that can make short radius bends. If you are going to change out the throttle, you should also do the shifter cable too. This will not be something that you want to do again very soon. You are probably aware that there is a screw on the pedestal (about half way up the column) that holds the cable housing. This must be loosened to release the cable housing. This is probably going to one of the more difficult parts of the job. Then you will need to drop the pan that covers the steering cables and pulleys. While you are in there be sure to inspect the play in the steering and adjust it too. I think that there is a bracket on the engine that holds the cable housing for the throttle. I do not know what holds the housing on the shift linkage. When you replace the shifter cable, be sure that you put some locktite on the tranmission end of the cable to prevent the linkage nut from backing off (this happened to me twice, wow was that exciting).
