Stays/Shrouds Too Short Fix

Woke up in the middle of the night last night and realized every sailboat does that when you disconnect the shrouds to take the mast down. With or without a forklift of course.
Yes, the tension on the shrouds do tend to pull the sides of the boat towards the middle and make the hull deeper and skinnier. However, 8 inches is excessive, most boats do this on the order of fractions of inches. That's why doors and lockers don't work quite as smoothly on the hard as they do when floating.
