SS U-Mixing elbow

Qn1- the water droplets was brownish-black, and could only comes from inside.

Don't really know without some sort of investigation. Quick check for leakage with acetone; pressurize with air and look for leakage; apply vacuum to the exterior and check for external leakage; religious intervention ?

Qn2- nope. Doubt they can do anything for me from so far away.

You'd be surprised.

Before purchasing the elbow, I talked to the owner on two different occasions about the product. More for the metallurgical interest as I had majored in metallurgy back when cannons were switching from wood staves to cast iron. Found him to be extremely knowledgeable and talkative.

It's worth a try - write them with a description and if you have them, pictures before you patched it. I'm sure they would want to know there's a problem. They might just send you a new one in return for the old one to study.
