Can't wait

We bought a '90 Hunter 35.5 last October and have not sailed her yet. She is currently on land and scheduled to be launched around march 31st. We are very eager to get to sail and spend weekends on the boat. The weather last weekend was great, we were able to do some pre-launch work. The previous owners had painted the boat name, a picture and home-port on the transom which I needed to remove so I could put 'our' boat name on. What I thought would be a couple of hours of cleaning turned out to be two day ordeal. I did get everything cleaned and added our signature on the boat. Here is a hint to other boat owners, decals are so much easier to remove. :) Anyway, next week we'll paint the bottom and wax, fix a small leak at the aft berth and we should be ready to go. Can't wait to sail her.

rename...beware...

As, you sound like a seasoned boat owner...check out the archives on the ritual to change a boat's name...very important, and, a hell of a lot of fun!

2003 WindRider Shamrock Regatta

We had our annual St. Patrick's theme regatta last Sunday, and all I can say is that we couldn't have had any more luck of the Irish! See the whole story and photos at http://www.kcssa.com/stories/op/storiesView/sid/105/

Can't wait

I'm in Turkey at the moment, due to some stress going on in the gulf region. (NATO-AWACS)Snow, wind cold weather. BUT.., I can't wait for May to get my Darling out in the water again. Plan is there already 2 weeks in May to start, and than going on for only one week in July ( too hot) and than the best of the season, September. Three weeks sailing,in wich period also the Ionion Regatta. I can't wait. Have fun again this season everybody, and remeber "safe sailing is relaxed sailing".
