Well looks like May 26th will be my splash date. I still have to drop the keel scrape sand and paint with antifouling as well as take care of the trunk :(. I did get the boat level side to side and now finally bow to stern. So I can now finish the waterline on her. Couldn't do it last year because I had no idea where the water line was. Turns out it was 1 1/2'' lower on the stern and 1 1/2'' higher on the bowl. Anyhow will use a string and line level to transfer the points onto the hull for top and bottom elevations then mask and paint. I have to replace the mahogony trims on the combings in the cockpit. Found some nice oak that should work ok. Might even make some hatch boards up out of it as well later in the season. Hopeully I have the furler problem taken care of by using a larger line size  but not really sure about that one yet.

Well splash day has been pushed back one week for now to the 2nd of June and maybe later then that thanks to the fabulously rotten weather we have been having this spring. I just recently managed to get our keel out of the trunk so the barnicles can be sanded off of it and then coated with antifouling paint. I still have to do the keel trunk as well :(. And then the fun part of getting the keel back in place. Hopefully it will go back in easier then it came out. I had to use a cum a long and winch it out of the trunk. Oh well such is life here in the great white north east :cussing:

I was hoping to be in sometime in April but not yet and we are deep into sailing season here on the Chesapeake. Had to remodel the kitchen at home before playing. Still not done in there.

Didn't get my winter boat projects done either. So now she sits on the driveway, mast up, little by little getting the work done. Some if the projects will simply have to wait for next year.

Galley- not done, maybe next year
Chart plotter- done
Radio- done
Upholstery- not even started, save this for later
Bottom paint- crap, I hate this part, not yet
New electric panel- done
Refinish Tiller- done
Trailer lights- done
Motor serviced- done

This is ridiculous! Where are my priorities?

Woohoo the keel is back in and the pivot pin reset :D. Tomorrow I will reattach the winch cable and use some lock washers on the cable clamps this time as well as trying a little trick with an extra cable clamp to avoid any more disconnects from happening. There is some minor work to do on the companion way hatch and still have to cut and router the trims for the cockpit combings. Not sure where to mount the docking cleats yet, maybe thru bolted to the stern. Splash day will be the 9th of June :D only 2 weeks later then planned.

c_witch, You might try SS nylon lock nuts instead of lock washers. They do not require compression to lock like lock washers.

Not wet yet :(

Well here it is almost Canada Day and Privateer is still high and dry  I've given up my slip space as well. All of this started due to me putting our bill of sale for the boat in a 'safe place', so safe I was unable to find it. Long story short Insurance required it to be registered this year for coverage. I'm still wondering why after last year ?? No insurance so 'No' launch at the club. The up side I have found a 2000 Ranger is reasonable shape that I am buying for a new tow vehicle. Have to get a frame hitch installed Saturday morning and then launch from a public ramp in Halifax in the afternoon or Sunday morning at high tide. No worries about slim or muscles this year. I just hope we can launch without a tongue extender as we don't have one.

Write your own, make sure the info is accurate. Your not trying to be illeagal, but trying to do in right. I was never here. We never spoke.
