Well looks like May 26th will be my splash date. I still have to drop the keel scrape sand and paint with antifouling as well as take care of the trunk
. I did get the boat level side to side and now finally bow to stern. So I can now finish the waterline on her. Couldn't do it last year because I had no idea where the water line was. Turns out it was 1 1/2'' lower on the stern and 1 1/2'' higher on the bowl. Anyhow will use a string and line level to transfer the points onto the hull for top and bottom elevations then mask and paint. I have to replace the mahogony trims on the combings in the cockpit. Found some nice oak that should work ok. Might even make some hatch boards up out of it as well later in the season. Hopeully I have the furler problem taken care of by using a larger line size
but not really sure about that one yet.
