A dock neighbor had a 23.5 for several years and flew an asymmetrical spinnaker. We had a few discussions about it and he thought it did well and was fun to use.

spinnaker

I have an asymetrical chute I use all the time. In light air it makes the difference between sailing and motoring. I can sail as high as 90 degrees off the wind, so reaching is possible

Nice chute, Do you have a seperate haylard or do you use the jib haylard to raise the chute?

Thanks

Spinnaker

I can fly it either way. The difference is how you tack. Using the jib halyard you tack like a jib. If I use the spinnaker halyard, you tack off the wind, which is a lot harder to Handle the sheets. Jack
