Ok cool. Are there any tiller extension fit tutorials on here?
I like the push button removable adjustable length Forespar tiller extensions for my cruising boat. I can twist and adjust the length so that when I'm relaxing laying back against the coaming, I have my forearms resting on top of the coaming, and the ball in between my index finger and middle finger. It's enough for me to steer just twitching my hand, and I can set the length to wherever I'm sitting in the cockpit. I know a racer who says the Spinlock adjustable with the D shaped handle is more comfortable for racing and helming a long time. In my Force 5, which is like a Laser, I prefer a longer, non-adjustable Ronstan Battle Stick, because it has a long foam grip with a ball at the end. Long enough for me to sit in front of the thwart for light wind downwind legs. Also, we hold small dinghy extensions from under the extension, reaching up around, so the end of the stick comes out between thumb and forefinger, rather than overhand, with thumb and forefinger pointed at the tiller.

Solarfy;

I assume you got my reply. The mfg., American Sail, is an excellent company and they do stand behind their boats. The next time you talk with either Chris or Dave Stanton, tell them I said hello. Dave is a good source of information. We are very close friends.
