I was down at GB's just last week and saw all of them "combed" into each other against the shore, congratulations on being first.

Scott. Gotta be careful about those "being single" fantasies. They can get you in trouble.

Bob. Those docks belong to the maritime school on the other end of the canal. That marina was taken apart to make room for the Central avenue bridge that is under construction. They will put it back together once the bridge is done. The tower crane seems to be the new national bird around here.

And as for city living it is nice but I am really starting to miss my garage.

Fantasies haven't gotten me in trouble yet! We still have a garage, but it doesn't have the same space I used to have. I miss my workshop. We're not in the city, but we downsized significantly into a townhouse that is further out in the country. I have the hardest time keeping tools handy to use, or even finding them when I need them. I have to sift through storage tubs occasionally to find what I need. I sold off almost all of my power tools & power equipment. On the one hand, it has been a huge relief from the overwhelming weight of all that "stuff". OTOH, I'm missing the "stuff" that I so conveniently relied upon when I wanted to.
shemandr, the foreground is Liberty Landing Marina. The building is in the Paulus Hook area of Jersey City. Liberty State Park and just the very edge of Liberty Island is in the background, as is Staten Island. You can just barely make out the causeway to Ellis Island. Statue of Liberty and Verrazano Bridge are just barely out of view, hidden by the edge of the building.
