Argh! It was 80 degrees yesterday. I was in shorts. Saturday, when I plan to work on the boat, it's supposed to snow!
At least one of my projects is below deck. My propshaft and coupling are done. I can finally install my dripless shaft seal.

I cruise to Fort Sumpter.

The ferry just came to a sudden halt. Mid river. As a sailing vessel crossed the commercial vessels bow. Ferry Captain sounding 5 blasts.

No snow in South Carolina.... So I thought sure... When asked by my friend. Lets play golf... Never knew about local hazards on the course.

An easy par 3 just 130 across the water. So I hit the ball in the sand trap. As I approached the trap I just happened to glance at the water 6 feet away....

Our hazards get a little bigger in S Florida.

We are loading the boat all day and leaving early tomorrow morning for about 2 weeks of cruising up along the Gulf coast.
A storm high wind and heavy rain is suppose to be arriving some time Sunday and will go as far as we can tomorrow trying to catch up with our friends about 10 boats from PGSC .
It been great boating weather for sure with many boats out on the water.
Will be posting here on our trip.

Northern Michigan is getting an Ice Storm.

This is what our Marina looked like when the surge went through. We’re right on lake michigan and there was a water level change of well over six feet in minutes. It poured in and out of the marina several times. Where those pilings are, there are docks under water.

Oh these forecasts just warm the cockles of my heart.

And these weather folk so like to tease. Do you think we'll really be able to work on the boat next weekend?

I'll just make sure we have enough beer in the walk-in cooler (aka Garage)

OK, More information: That can't be Minnesota?! We got another couple of inches of sleet last night, on top of a foot yesterday in TC. I imagine MN is not short sleeve weather, and BlueJ doesn't have a bowsprit????

I was, past tense going to launch tomorrow, but WTF. No water to wash, buff and wax because the marina is keeping it off until the pipes won't burst because of the cold. Now we have freezing rain, sleet, snow, gales, anal seepage and the four horsefellows of the poxyclipse. Then throw this on top of all that on Lake Ontario.

No, that’s Canyon Lake Texas. NE of San Antinio. I’m down to race. Yesterday it was blowning 20-25 sustained with long gusts in the mid 30s, so they wisely abandoned. We went out to practice and under full main alone hit 10.5 in 34 knots. Later in the day the breeze dropped a bit and we went out for that run.

But this weekend is is lost in MN. Two days of sold blizzard. 12-16 inches. Part of the reason we left!
