Does anyone have any experience with a smaller jib on an Oday 23? I sail on Rainy Lake (200,000 acres, 40 miles long) in Northern Minnesota. It's been a windy summer, with several days with winds over 30 mph. I am out in these conditions a couple of times each season and have wished for something less than my 100% working jib, even with a double reefed main. I do have a storm jib, but it is tiny and the boat doesn't point very well with it. I am thinking about having reef points installed in my working jib, or getting a new sail and having this one cut down to a smaller size. I have sailed this boat for five years on Rainy Lake, often with larger boats and really believe the key to sailing this boat on a large body of water is matching your sail size to the conditions. Any suggestions?
