Newbe question. On my C30 had dual line reefing system now single line
on new to me C310 # 245. Tied line to grommet in leech down through sheave in
boom end, internal to mast up through grommet in luff down to turning
block to cockpit. No movement to speak of in leech. Where did I go wrong?
Anyone converted to dual line system? Pretty acute angle at boom end with
single line system? Another subject if permitted what type of oil used on
interior wood work. Teak oil? Thanks for your help.

Clyde,

Is this the configuration you use? I have HN 0045 so it may be different. This one works just fine for our 2000.

Yes but looks like I left out bottom half of equation. There was a small grommet near foot of my sail so looks like run line under boom through small grommet tie together then up through large
reefing grommet then back to boom end. Thanks a bunch will try this next weekend.

paulj - thanks for going to all the trouble to take pictures. Very clear now how reef line fastens to
boom end. Does that ever cause problems with
outhaul? Probably not if secured at outermost part
of outhaul travel. Thanks again for your effort.

The reef line goes under the outhaul line and is tied to boom.
