Okay, I've just got a plastic sign for the Bilge Pump that says "Run for 5 minutes, etc." But there is no adhesive on the back and I'm reluctant to drill holes in the boat to attach with screws. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to attach this? Someone said carpet tape, but I really don't know. Thanks, Larry

GARRY @ S/V TASHTEGO

Velcro

Both of TASHTEGO's placquards (No Oil and No Trash) are attached with adhesive backed velcro tape which you can get at any hardware store. Make sure to clean the mounting surface carefully and to press the sticky side on firmly.

Velcro

Velcro's good. You can also check out craft or maybe variety stores for double sided foam. This is the stuff that's on the back of stick-em-up hooks. Takes an army to tear the crap off! I used velcro to attach my dish rack to the front of my galley area. Worked great cuz I could take it off when needed. LaDonna

Black 3M Double Stick

I use this stuff all the time at my work. I cost a little bit more, but it really works. The real perk is that the foam and the glue keeps its elasticity for much longer. The white stuff tends to stiffen and decay alarmingly quick. It doesn't cost too much more, but it is worth it. Be carefull though, if you buy a big enough roll you will find yourself sticking all kind of things all over the place. The good thing is, since it doesn't turn brittle so quick, it is easy to change your mind when you decide you really don't want to look at a the plaque with the once witty phrase every time you sit down for dinner, then you can simply pry it off.
