When we bought her she had a name already on her stern.

The next year we painted her name on the new mainsail cover. Which 7 years later, still looks great.

Why does the "T" look strange. She's a 1980 Tartan 37-2.

The only good shot I have of our old Mac's name. My wife was/is really into JRR Tolkien. "Cuivienen" was in the 'Silmarillion'. It means "water of awakening' in the Elvish tongue.

One of my favorite songs, so I figured it was a appropriate name for my favorite toy. (actually my only toy)

Also one of mine although I prefer the George Benson / Al Jerreau version. The CD "Givin it up" was our goto to put on once the anchor was dropped and sat down with a beverage or two. Summer Breeze was one of the songs that just made it right. In the end Breezin' from the same album, won out as more unique and was right up there in the perfect list.

thanks. 46th season in the family coming up this summer. i was 21 when dad bought the boat. i quit a job so that i and some buds could bring the boat home to toledo from stamford conn for him
