Should I lubricate my rudder post?

I'm a rookie owner of a 85 Catalina 30T. I pulled my rudder this fall to do some blister repair over the winter. I feel like I should be lubricating it when it is reinstalled in the spring, but haven't found any information anywhere. What should I be using?

Tried to find anything and all I came up with is this article on improving the C30 in general. There might be some tips for you re: the bottom side.

When I dropped my rudder to install my dripless seal, I just sprayed some dry lubricant on the 'plastic' bushings.

I have used teflon trailer hitch grease (super slippery) but any waterproof grease will do.

Thanks for the advise - I was going to try silicone grease - the teflon sounds even better.
