Shields flex marine hose removal

We have an O'Day 192. Does anyone have experience removing the drain hose (connects hull drain and cockpit drain) and/or the hose that encloses the centerboard line. It's made from Shields flex marine hose. It has wire wrapped through it and won't cut with a utility knife. We were able to remove the clamps, but that doesn't loosen up the hose.

If heat will not move it with prying, I get out the dremel tool.

A good pair of wire cutters will snip through the wire otherwise the dremel is a good suggestion and less strenuous.

Thanks. We are afraid to use heat as the hose goes onto plastic fittings. We may try the dremel. It's very hard to reach it without hiring a contortionist.
