My '86 C-27 is on the hard and I'm sitting here in front of the fire hoping I winterized properly and won't have a problem next spring.
With so much time on my hands before I can go sailing again, I've been thinking of ways to improve on this very fine boat. Last summer I saw a C-30 that had painted the blue strip that is traditional gunwale about 2 inches under the rub rail. This C-30 had widened the 3/4" strip up to the rub rail and extended it back to a totally blue transom. Looked very nice and unique.
So my questioin is to this forum is what shade of blue is it? Is there a Pettit or Interlux shade that is readily available that matches the existing color? Just wondering. Internet 'swatches' of color are hard to match to the real thing and getting a color match off the boat with one of those color match computers they have at the paint store could prove cumbersome.
