I want to replace the 20-year-old 150 RF Genoa on my C-27 (std rig), and am considering a bi-radial Dacron sail (Doyle). Is this a good choice for performance and durability, or would a cross-cut be just as good? Would a sail of laminate such as Norlam be a good choice, or would durability be a problem?

I bought a new headsail for My C-30 last year and was going to get a 150% until I talked to the loft. Since I use the roller furling to shorten sail, they recommended against going that large. They said that even with the luff foam, the belly of a 150 rolled down to a 100 would not yield a useable shape in a blow.
