Yep, I was busy getting the dinghy on the sand and my wife walked over the breakwater laying out the towels. Very nice spot so we were in and out of the water doing the shuffle walk. A power boat went a little fast out the inlet with a good size wake so I went to check the dinghy again. It was still OK but slid a little and had a bit of water that had come up over the transom. If your talking about the ray, I jumped off my boat on to one of those once (didn't look first). Fortunately I didn't get tagged. It did take my feet out.
This is on target! On Cayo Costa island, just north of Sanibel/Captiva, we see rays in the shallow water. They are almost like puppies and swim right up to your feet. You learn to do the stingray shuffle and wear water shoes. This is our favorite secret place in SW Florida.
