I have a 1987 Legend 35 with a SeaLander model 752 manual toilet that requires a rebuild, can someone direct me to a location that would carry these rebuild kits? TX John Vasey vaseyj@ihorizons.net

No parts available any longer for SeaLand 751/752

SeaLand stopped making the 752 (which was the successor to the even older 751) more than 10 years ago. They stopped supporting it with parts 3 or 4 years ago. One of their distributors bought the last remaining parts inventory, but that didn't include any rebuild kits. However, even if a rebuild kit were still available, I don't recommend putting any $$ into a toilet that old.. Everything has a lifespan, and your toilet has been living on borrowed time for several years...it's time to replace it. If you search the HOW archives, you'll find quite a bit of previous discussion about it. Btw...I'm surprised that a 37' boat was equipped with a 752...it's a compact toilet mostly found on boats under 30'. Hunter equips most of the larger boats with Jabsco toilets.

You should know Hunter better

Peggie, Hunter has a tendency to use what ever part they have on hand on any of their boats. My '84 34 came with a 15x12 prop. Other 34's in my marina with the same draft, engine, gear ratio, and year had 15x15's. 15x15 is the better prop for the 34 with Yanmars. I guess this is a cost saving measure "to keep the cost to the boat buyer down". Oh well, least of the problems... :)

I went thru the same thing... looking for parts. Didn't find any. Replaced the Sealander 752 with a Raritan PH II based on Peggy's advice. Installation was easy and it works fine. Available from BOATUS/West Marine.
