Alternator D+ stud

Good Morning Maine,

I am replacing my battery isolator (.8 volt drop) with a Blue Sea 7610 ACR. The Sea Frost refrigeration relay is wired to the alternator side of the isolator. I plan to wire the relay to the D+ stud on the alternator. What do you think? Will you define the purpose of the D+. Thanks.

Could you mean B+? I would wire it to a 24 hour circuit with a fuse.

Can you be more specific on which relay this is driving? Is this an engine driven unit or DC? Does it have a rotating timer dial?

Maine,

It is engine driven with rotating dial. Perhaps I should connect it to my ignition. Thanks.
