Got the boat out of the water today, and got my first good look at the rudder. All I can say is it was probably luck that I didn't loose it completely. It looks like it is completely torn loose from the rudder post. Best guess is what steering there was, was from the internal rods hitting the exterior shell. But the good news is the post doesn't appear to be bent, and don't think it's going to be an extremely difficult fix. Of course, I have been wrong once or twice. Hopefully I will get far enough along tomorrow to find all the damage.
