Well the rumors have been that you were a master at boat handling, backing boats in and out of tight spaces... But it sounds like that skill has not followed you onto your land based adventures.

No true boat related gifts for me under the tree but I definitely got one better.

My son came for a visit (our 1st Christmas together in 5 years or so)

We were able to get out for a sail and spent the night on the boat. It was his first time ever out for a sail. At first he was super nervous and not wanting to take the tiller. The wind was light at first (2-3kts) but then picked up. As the boat got its heel on it was fun to watch his reaction.

By the end of the day he kept taking over the tiller...though I could not talk him into bringing her home back into her slip.

Santa hasn't arrived at our place, yet. We had a major power outage last Thurs to Sunday, so postponed the festivities until this afternoon, tree's up, though.
