I never expected this thread to develop as it has. All I was asking was if anyone knew of a company that rented sailboat trailers.
Thanks to all of you for your helpful insights. I got a quote of $1500 to get new brakes and new tires for both axles, plus lowering the cradle to a workable height. I've already authorized the work.

I was a former sailboat dealer who pulled many sailboats to many lakes. Over 2 million miles Feel free to pm me. Retired but was knowledgeable and experienced which is up my alley
